American Craft Beer Week in Minneapolis
May 14 - May 20
We’re celebrating one of the most glorious weeks of the entire year – American Craft Beer Week. We’ve lined up a series of events and rare tappings for your taste buds, and boy will they be mad at you if you miss it!
American Craft Beer Week Tappings
— Monday May 14th —
Founders CBS 2017
Founders Brewing Company, Grand Rapids, MI.
Imperial Stout, 11.7% ABV
CBS was born when Founders stumbled upon some bourbon barrels that had previously housed maple syrup. They opted to put the same base beer as KBS, an imperialized version of Breakfast Stout, in the maple barrels and, after one taste, they knew they had something special. Rich maple syrup, roasted coffee and velvety chocolate meld together in what can only be described as a transcendental drinking experience.
— Wednesday May 16th —
Perennial Abraxas 2017
Perennial Artisan Ale, St. Louis, MO.
Imperial Stout, 10.0% ABV
An Imperial Stout brewed with ancho chili peppers, cacao nibs, vanilla beans, and cinnamon sticks. Pouring deep brown with a thick head, this beer has a complex body with a delicious lingering roastiness. Abraxas is brewed with unique ingredients intended to challenge and excite the palate.
— Friday May 18th —
Bear Republic Barrel Aged Hornswoggler
Bear Republic Brewing Company, Healdsburg, CA.
Old Ale, 11.2% ABV
Hornswoggler is a huge foeder-aged stock ale with fruity, cherry-like esters and a slight malty sweet finish.
